The choices you made in our GoPro Buyer’s Guide led you to the GoPro Hero3 white edition.
This cam is already two generations old, but it’s also the cheapest way to enter the GoPro world. You’ll have to buy it used, and the photo and video capabilities are pretty basic, but you’ll get replaceable batteries and Wi-Fi connectivity, so you’ll be able to use your phone to frame and review your captures.
The last two features are very welcome and are an advantage over the GoPro Hero, the cheap-and-simple camera in the current GoPro lineup (which is a great cam nonetheless!).
