Congratulations! The choices you made in our GoPro Buyer’s Guide led you to the Hero4 Silver. This is by far the most popular of the three 2014 models, and it excels in everything that advanced users may want. It even has a built-in rear-display so you can frame and review your videos and images in a much more convenient way than ever before.
Variations:
- Adventure edition: This is the standard/basic edition featuring the well-known waterproof housing as well as one curved and one flat adhesive mounts. If you are looking at a GoPro and it doesn’t indicate any edition name, then you are looking at an Adventure edition.
- Motorsport edition: Identical to the Adventure edition, but with different pictures on the camera’s packaging.
- Surf edition: Like the models above, but instead of the curved and flat adhesive mounts, the camera is sold with a surf-board mount.
- Music edition: includes the open frame mount, a 3.5mm mic adapter, instrument mounts, and other accessories to optimize the camera for recording concerts, recitals, and other musical events.
